Ingredients

For the Pork:

  • 1 2 pound boneless pork loin
  • 1 teaspoon ground sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or 1 minced garlic clove
  • 1/2 cup water

For the Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

For the Pork:

  1. Mix sage, salt, pepper, and garlic together in a small bowl and rub over the loin. Place in the bottom of the slow cooker along with 1/2 cup water. Cook on low for 6 hours. Remove from slow cooker and shred.

For the Sauce:

  1. Just before the pork is done, place the sauce ingredients in a small pan. Cook over medium heat for 4 minutes or until the sauce thickens, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and drizzle over shredded pork. Serve.
