Ingredients
2 1/4cupsall-purpose flour
1teaspoonbaking soda
1teaspoonsalt
1cupsalted butter, softened
3/4cupgranulated sugar
3/4cupbrown sugar, packed
2large eggs, room temperate
2teaspoonvanilla extract
2cupssemi-sweet chocolate chips, (divided)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 inch metal baking pan. (Optional- Line with parchment paper for easy removal.)
Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt together in a small mixing bowl.
Cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together for about 2 minutes with an electric stand mixer using the paddle attachment (an electric hand mixer will work too). Add the vanilla and eggs, beating until combined and scrape down the sides as needed.
Mix in the flour until just combined. Stir in 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips until evenly dispersed.
Spread the dough into the pan and BAKE for 22 to 25 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Immediately press remaining chocolate chips into the top. Cool in pan on wire rack. Slice and serve.
