This syrup is so amazingly delicious!  It’s silky smooth and buttery making it the perfect topping for pancakes, waffles, and french toast.  It takes less than 10 minutes to make and will make your breakfast approximately 8,071 times better.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons Karo syrup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  • Place sugar, buttermilk, butter, and Karo syrup in a large sauce pan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Remove from heat once it begins to boil. Stir in baking soda and vanilla (it will get really foamy). Serve over pancakes, waffles, french toast… Store remaining in a jar in the fridge.
