If you love jalapeno poppers but don’t love the time it takes to stuff them, you’re going to love this Jalapeno Popper Dip! Every party need an awesome creamy cheesy dip and this one will be the hit at your next gathering. It only takes 5 minutes to whip up and 20 minutes to bake. Easy party recipes are the best, especially when you are hosting because getting the house in order is stressful enough, right?!

How to make Jalapeno Popper Dip:

The dip only requires 5 ingredients- cream cheese, Greek yogurt, shredded white cheddar cheese, feta cheese, and canned jalapenos. Why use canned? Because it’s easier. It will save you time and dirtying a pan. Plus, you’ll avoid the risk of having your hands feel like their on fire from touching them.

Many jalapeno popper recipes use sour cream or mayonnaise but plain non-fat Greek yogurt tastes just like sour cream just without all the calories and fat. It also is loaded with protein. If you don’t care about the nutrition and only have sour cream on hand you can definitely use that instead.

I chose to use white cheddar cheese in this dish mostly for the color (plus it’s delicious!) but you can definitely use sharp cheddar if that’s what you already have on hand.

So you’ll mix all those cheeses, yogurt, and jalapenos together and then spread it evenly into a small oven-safe dish.

To make the crispy topping you’ll toss some Ritz Crackers into a baggie and crush them all up. Kids really enjoy doing this step if you have any little idle hands hanging around. Then mix it with Parmesan Cheese (yeah, that’s that 4th kind of cheese you’ll be using) and melted butter. Sprinkle the topping over the dip and pop it in the oven for 20 minutes until it’s golden, bubbly, and smells amazing.

Serve it right away or take it to the next level with some sliced jalapenos and chopped cilantro on top.

What should I serve with Jalapeno Popper Dip?

Any chip, cracker, or bread will do! I prefer Fritos Scoops but you could use tortilla chips, whole grain chips, pita chips, Ritz crackers, wheat crackers, even little toasted baguette slices would be delicious. It’s all just about finding a vehicle to get more of this yummy dip into your mouth.

Can I make this in advance?

Yes! After assembling it, just put the lid on or cover with plastic wrap and store in the fridge until ready to bake.

Can I double the recipe?

Please do! If you’re feeding a large crowd you’ll definitely want to double it and in that case, just bake it in a pan twice the size. A 9×13 inch would work great. Cooking time remains the same.

HERE ARE A FEW MORE DIPS THAT  ARE PERFECT FOR PARTIES:

  • Spinach Artichoke Dip
  • Mexican Layered Dip
  • Black Bean and Corn Salsa
  • Caramelized Onion Dip
  • Hissy Fit Dip

TOOLS USED TO MAKE THIS JALAPENO POPPER DIP:

Electric Hand Mixer– This is one of my most used kitchen gadgets. It’s great for frosting, whipping egg whites, cookie dough…

1.5 Quart Casserole Baking Dish– This is the perfect size dish for dips! If you don’t have this small of a dish an 8×8 inch pyrex works too.

8×8 Inch Pyrex Baking Dish– I love this dish because it comes with a lid which allows you to transport it easily or stack things on top of it in the fridge.
