Easy Fruit Dip

A fruit platter is a summer necessity whether you’re gathering with friends or having dinner as a family. Add this simple and easy dip and all of the fruit is sure to be gobbled right up!

A big wooden tray loaded with colorful fruit and a small bowl of marshmallow fruit dip.

FRUIT DIP INGREDIENTS:

Marshmallow Creme– You can find this in the baking aisle next to the marshmallows. There are various brands. All work great.

Cream Cheese– I think full fat tastes best. I like to set mine out on the counter for about an hour to allow it to soften. This is necessary to get a smooth dip.

A brick of cream cheese, a container of marshmallow fluff, and mixer attachments on a tile surface.

HOW TO MAKE FRUIT DIP:

  1. Beat cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth.
  2. Add marshmallow cream and beat until fully incorporated. Scrape down sides of bowl as needed.
  3. Serve immediately with fruit for dipping or cover and place in fridge until ready to serve

How to make a Fruit Platter?

Start with a large tray. You can often find seasonal tray/platters in the Bullseye’s Playground and Dollar Spot at Target. A large rimmed baking sheet works great too!

Start by placing a small dip bowl (or multiple ones) on your tray in the middle or off to the side. Add the larger fruits to the tray and then fill in the remaining spots with smaller fruits.

You can arrange fruit randomly or pattern the fruit in a rainbow. Fruit is so pretty and colorful, it’s hard to mess it up.

TOOLS USED TO MAKE THIS EASY FRUIT DIP:

  • Rubber Spatulas– Get every last ounce of batter out of the bowl and into the pan with these sturdy rubber spatulas. These are also great to use when cooking since they are heat resistant.
  • Electric Hand Mixer– This is one of my most used kitchen gadgets. It’s great for frosting, whipping egg whites, cookie dough…
  • Pyrex Mixing Bowls with Lids– I love my mixing bowls with lids because then I am able to stack things up with the fridge. Plus, glass is nice for when I need to microwave whatever is in it.
